Last night's Star Wars, was the lowest-rated Mandalorian episode in the show's history. I loved it.

If you make droids with human minds, that are self-aware, dream, aspire for more, then you are creating sentient-life forms who (ethically) should have rights - except you are enslaving them. Just ask the Cylons how that works out.

People like you are why we'll be genocided. Ethically should have rights? They aren't sentient. They THINK they're sentient, and they're simulacrums of sentience enough to convince others around them of it. This, however, is NOT sentience. It is a machine acting as if, and thinking it is sentient. There's a very hard line there. And people pretending that black and white distinction is shades of grey will inevitably lead to billions of dead - if we even survive the robot wars that scifi authors and intelligentsia have been predicting from time immemorial.

If you ever hear someone even THINK out loud that AI or machines can ACTUALLY be sentient and alive; please punch the crap out of them. You just might save the human race.
