Layoffs that target those that max 401k

It’s not managements fault you aren’t willing to check the job market for your worth. Many people like to work their 8, leave and not think about work, and will do that for 30 years. You should never get a large raise for just tenure, you should get modest raises for that. If a young gun comes in and won’t require 10 years to do what the ten year people can why shouldn’t they earn more?

Sorry to rant but I often have the opposite age discrimination where I’m younger than all my peers but doing more advanced work than them and being told I don’t have the “experience” to get promotions. So I quit and go somewhere else and negotiate more.
