Lee Kuan Yew Turned Around his Nation... Indian IAS officer asked, How he would turn Around India If He get the Chance?

Agreed about the people of India. Respectfully disagree about the world view.

I said we should less care about the world and more be focused upon self introspection... I think that approach would be more right... Ofcourse foreign relations is one of the core business of any state it's quite obvious that we won't completely overlook foreign nations but my point was we should never assess our position from the perspective of foreign nation rather we should more focus on self introspection as I said, because its more sustainable way of doing things.

India has traditionally been an economic powerhouse, before the Arabs and the brits screwed us. Our strength was our ability to do business with the world without getting into a conflict.

Internal Conflict was always been there in Our country international conflict on this gigantic level is very recent thing because of globalisation and industrialization of the Europe... Arbs barely Invaded India, most invasions was done by central asian countries which was always been there if see our history... We got inslaved multiple times by Huns and Scythians and some other foreign powers... But some how we managed to beat them multiple times or either they got mixed with us like Scythians and Kushans did... As Islamic invaders used advance technologies like Guns and Canons and other advance war tactics and strategies our immunity against them got failed and that's why they inslaved us in recent times.

In other words, the reason India was prosperous in the past was because of its ability to trade. Hence the worldview matters because it allows us to get investments for the next phase of growth. With more than 55% of the country under the age of 35, we need this investment to generate jobs and create wealth.

If I go a little on tangent and give an example-

Look at the world in the last 75-80 years. There was tremendous trade, but nations did not know how to trade with other countries without treading on others shoes. US and Russia made a huge amounts of money selling war arms to countries and people around the world. In the 90's after the Soviet collapsed the world was at relative peace. Guess what, the US was clueless about the next phase of their economy.

I don't know all facts and don't want to spread conspiracy theories, but the fact is one event, ruined their economy for ever. And the world economy that was jolted in NY, has had troubles to stabilize since then.

That in itself is a great example of world view economics imho.

I would love to hear your perspective and feedback.
