Yeah definitely.

I can understand the floods of people at the launch of every expansion.

However, I don't remember the sudden spikes and fall offs, due to launches, being so apparent.

The game grew and grew even more after TBC and WotLK.

I came back to try Legion and BfA, paying for one month.

However, I'm definitely not going to try the next expansion, until I know for sure it's good mid-way into it instead of the launch hype.

The price of a full triple A title for an expansion like this? As well as the subscription fee and multitude of paid services? And the gameplay being dragged out to make you stay subscribed for longer?
