Living in SDSU admission area, passed AP lang exam, 3.8 weighted gpa 3.4 unweighted. Chances of getting into SDSU as a freshman

If you can get in straight to SDSU, that's already so much hassle and steps avoided for trying to transfer. Depending on your situation, you may be better off going to a community college. Personally, I recommend going straight into university, since you'll get used to the environment from day one, instead of having to shift or pivot gears. The social aspect is crucial and almost necessary in my opinion, if friends are made at the the beginning, that will help in the long run as you get into harder classes. If you are going to cry and suffer, make sure to do it with a group of classmates and/friends.

But at the end of the day, whatever works for you best, go for it! This is just my advice as a reddit stranger that went to SDSU. Personally, I had a great time at SDSU while studying for Computer Science, so I may be biased :p
