I study methamphetamine and just as a personal aside, I find it astonishing how different the public perception of amphetamine (Adderall) vs methamphetamine are, despite their chemical and neuropharmacological similarities (see-example paper and article written by Dr. Hart.) One is given to kids without a second thought and popped by students for fun, while the other is a associated with criminals and the subject of fear campaigns.
