Everybody knows that the chaos cultist would be working against, but the dwarf has intentionally poor perception and intelligence skills to justify an inability to recognize the aspiring cultists attempts to pursue chaos (I should have cleared up I specified no visually obvious mutations to essentially let him pick a beneficial one). The Halfling and human character wanted to have history and I'm going to write her character as vested in the saving of the cultist from the forces of chaos since she will be likely to "notice" or roll well on perception. They're a heavy roleplay group in my experience, that's why they're digging into the lore a bit.
