You sound like you’re somewhat educated on the vaccine, but I’d encourage you to do a little more research. The vaccine does NOT make you immune to covid. In fact, most of the vaccines being distributed clearly state that there is currently NO vaccines in production that will protect you from getting Covid. The goal of the vaccine is to limit how severe your reaction is IF AND WHEN you get the virus. Instead of being hospitalized or potentially dying, the vaccine would make Covid feel like a cold to you. Which is why it’s so important to get vaccinated; the death rate from Covid-19 in trials plummeted after people took the vaccine.

However, you are NOT immune. You CAN still catch the virus, so that’s the first reason to wear a mask. But the far more important reason is if you can still CATCH Covid (which you can, vaccinated or not), you can SPREAD Covid. Masks are still the most effective thing we have for limiting the spread of the virus, and that’s why we still need to wear them. Until Covid goes away or a vaccine is developed that completely eradicates the virus, masks are still important.
