Lol. Can’t tell if this is serious. But people don’t badmouth echo chambers because they change the conversation. Actually people don’t badmouth echo chambers at all. It’s a metaphor.

But the actual metaphor, why people use to talk about something undesirable, is not because echo chambers poison the conversation. It’s because you only hear yourself in an echo chamber, even though it sounds like multiple people.

This means that people talk to groups who think like them, get feedback that echos there own beliefs becuase they sought out people who would respond that way, and then use it as confirmation that they’re correct and the view is a popular one.

Echo chamber. Not distortion chamber. People use to make fun of people who’s only evidence is their own opinion and the opinions of their friends. Not to make fun of an environment for distorting the message.

You can decide whether it offends you. But at least understand how it’s used before you do.
