Session Disaster Stories

So many to pick from, but I think my fav was this one event with a famous media figure hawking a book about working less; you can imagine how us overworked peons felt about the topic.

It was a combination studio and live event project, so like an hour in studio and an hour on stage. Did the studio side first and talent comes in with their entourage. Slimy manager stood out, all fake smiles, compliments, and handing out free copies. Typical LA showbiz type.

Team and I get through it, with a lot of silent eye contact and mutted sighs. It was just hard to hear some born wealthy famous type talk about how we need to work less; no shit, got any other advice like water's wet or never start a land war in Asia?

So the second part of project goes off without a hitch, this isn't our first rodeo and the control room is pretty relaxed. Maybe 4 of us in there. Kitchen was free for managers, so I got a few beers for the control room team.
