I feel bad for all my fellow industry workers that are being laid off all over the country. I wish all of you affected the best. It sucks to see this industry I care so much take these hits but it was coming at some point.

I don’t have a ton of faith our regulating body will proactively alter protocol to stabilize things. We really are going to see a massive amount of our industry in large corporate control and a few small operators.

I am not looking forward to the snap back that’s coming. If nothing changes we will probably settle into a semi predictable cycle. Insane prices as supply drops, prices crash as more people come in buying old license and over supply happens again. It also depends on early harsh weather for outdoor grows, which we are seeing more extremes. I am forecasting a 2-3 year swing. I would even feel semi confident narrowing that down to 2.5-3 year swing.

Just like any other industry. The well funded, wealth extractors will survive and the quality small operators that prioritize people, product and then profits will survive. With newbies jumping in after they see each peak.

We have already had more than a 200% turn over in licenses since rec started.

Personally this is my dream and I am not about to let up on the gas. Hopefully the cool shit we are Planning comes to fruition and is just that…. cool shit that we all can enjoy.
