Actually cards like mental misstep and probe showcase the issue I'm addressing. The color blue is given too much of the pie. Those effects are characterized as blue, right? And the rest of the phyrexian one mana spells, those effects are also characterized with their respective colors right? Yet none of them have ever been close to being banned. Two blue ones, yet none of the others, which are all just merited on their effects.

You see the issue isn't what effects you can get for paying blue mana, the problem is what effects R&D has decided is defining for blue. And with what they've decided is blue, they've given more to it than any other color in terms of power. The fact that the only two phyrexian one mana cards to be banned were blue points towards that. They were all on the same playing field, they could've not had any color at all, yet these two effects were ban worthy, and what color do those effects belong to? Blue.

Also, I didn't know being sorry twice was considered a lot, but ok I guess.
