I've seen this alot and I want to retort it by saying Jacare and Robert were alike in build and stature, where Masvidal and Maia have a noticeable height and weight diffrence, Robert is alot stronger in his own respect. Not saying Jorge can't win but saying out outside of the grappler versus striker match up this is a very diffrent fight against two fighters who are diffrent in build and style of fight where in Robert and Jacare they were at the same stature but had polar opposite fighting style. The last time Maia was knocked out was against Nate Marquardt (Also the last guy to knockout the welterweight champ)

A more apt comparison would be Rory V. Maia where he implemented a game play which helped him strike and survive grappling exchanges against Maia even surviving once Maia had mount, I say this respectfully I am a fan of Masvidals but I don't think he is as good as Rory but nonetheless he has a chance. Once again this is just my response to comparing this fight to the Jacare/Robert fight. I can very well be wrong in my assessment.
