How exactly is making a comparison between two episodes of a Television series and a Movie valid? Structures are entirely different, even outside of the fact that mediums are different. One follows the perspective of one individual characters quest, the other has three separate characters arcs, yet it’s valid that in one instance characters are fleshed out quicker? No it’s not.

“The elf and man’s chemistry is non-existent”. They had 15 mins of combined screen time. Where they were entirely at sea, battling a specific event? When and where is the chemistry to suppose to develop?

None of this is “valid”, criticism or even an attempt to be impartial. Their opinion would be the same regardless of whether or not they had actually watched the episodes. Now they can just vaguely reference points in the store to give some faux logic, which apparently people like you have lapped up.
