No, Movie is fine

Besides being representation, more Diversity generally allows for more potential stories and interesting dynamics to be told. More stories, more perspectives and more nuance are good things in my book.

Making something more diverse if you have a good opportunity for it is something I can generally get behind.

Diversity just for the sake of diversity can easily derail a story though and the border between the two can sometimes be very muddy (though a LOTR remake in my humble opinion is not one of those situations. If you want to make the LOTR franchise more diverse you need to shift the focus more towards parts of the world that already are diverse like different ages or regions, not just recast the fellowship until it looks like the brochure of your local community college).
