People often downvote on this subreddit for little to no reason, but your edit really just comes off as bitter and a bit sensitive.

Because I see people overly toxic and confrontational on this board and I have no idea why. Is it an example of that JET elitism I've heard about? I mean look at OP's thread points on the top right. 0 points. Why? It's a valid question. Many of you guys are so vitriolic. And it's not just this thread. Look at any thread on this subreddit and it's filled with snarky sarcasm "wow, you really had to ask this?" and downvotes. Why? Is that not the entire point of this subreddit? I lurk here sometimes but it can just be depressing when it shouldn't be.
