They associated rock music with black people and sex, that’s why it got shit on by the youths parents. Christians thought the music was promoting sinful behavior. No one now hears a rap song and says “Ohhhh! That’s sinful and evil music!”. It’s more “Wow the music sounds like trash because the person isn’t even singing and there’s no instruments”. Dance/edm/techno is fine in its own genre, but not when it becomes the only genre to be in the top charts along with mumble rap. Melody is key when getting a good vibe from a song and any musician will tell you that. You call me a hypocrite but yet you just admit that you don’t listen to rap music. I wonder why.
