[misc] skincare isn’t everything.

I once had a conversation with someone who told me how glad they are to not go hike with their family because it was very sunny and they sweat a lot, so she would be unprotected against the sun at a certain point.

I'm like wow you really rather sit at home alone instead of going out in nature with the family and have 3 hours of "unprotected" sunlight. Kind of sad.

Some people have to avoid the sun because of health issues though, like lupus or sun allergy. I personally can't spend much time in the sun because I take medication that causes sun sensitivity and heat intolerance. I still go out, but I have have to be sensible out how much time I spend in direct sunlight - maybe an hour as opposed to three, with sunscreen and protective clothing.
