My SO is a small time businessman so there were times this pandemic that he’s earning smaller than me since he prioritizes his people, needs to stow away more contingency money, and prioritizes saving than gastos. I work in a Global FMCG under Marketing so I’m earning way above average consistently, with bonuses, benefits, and annual increases.

Pre pandemic my SO really earns a lot and I was really spoilt rotten — he pays more than half for our trips abroad, hotels, etc. So parang at the point when he needed to stow away money to make sure his business stays afloat and he has less to spend for luxury, I don’t see it as a bad thing. Mas amused ako na he knows his priorities and now na wala masyadong pang luho, he puts saving and his business/people first.
