My dog bit my baby - update

If you tell the shelter that she is aggressive toward young children, they will not place her in a home with young children. I’ve been to many shelters and there are always animals with bios that say “would do well in a home where she’s the only baby” or “would love to live in a calm house with no children.” They get adopted. Find a no-kill shelter and disclose why you are surrendering. She will find a home. She will be fine.

I know it is so, so, so hard. I surrendered a dog years ago despite thinking I would never give up a pet. It was heartbreaking. They are family, after all. But sometimes it is the kindest thing to do for them, and I suspect this is the case for your pup too.
