My grandma works at a hospital and gotten her finger bit off by a patient

RN with a BSN degree here so I can somewhat chime in on this. The $83/hour is very common for OT. However, the $83/hour at regular rate is really high. I can see this rate if you are a travel nurse but other than that, I can’t see this rate anywhere else if you’re a regular floor nurse. Even if you’re a charge nurse working a night shift over the weekends, max I can see is around $60/hour which includes the charge responsibility, night, and weekend premiums and differentials. High paid RNs are typically in admin and management and get paid by salary rather than by hour making around 100k+ a year. Not sure how NPs or CRNAs get paid, whether salary or hourly, but then again they aren’t your run of mill RNs. CRNAs make major bank, however regardless of how they get paid.
