My horrible experience with South Bay Traps and they lies they told.

I think you've made the same mistake Southbay did which was to focus on the reasoning that'd support and justify why the packaged was delay and discount what really upsets me. But first about the weather, what Southbaytrap said was rain, 100+ degree weather, and humidity. Which to me sounds like it was too hot to ship. No where in the response does it say thunderstorm. I looked up the weather history in 90266 and it shows 70~80 and a couple of 90s with no signs of rain (weather.com). Additionally, it wasn't just that the packaged was ordered on the 14th, shipped on the 29th (a Wednesday not Monday like you mentioned), and arrived on July 31st. It was also the zero attempt to reach out to me. If you go in to my link of the forum post you can see that my first attempt to reach out to them was July 21st, 7 days after my order. I waited a week because I knew orders can take up to a week to ship and that's acceptable. This order wasn't really about the plants but more about the pots. I had to ask two other vendors to delay their orders because I didn't know why my pots weren't coming. Because of this I had to buy extra parts locally which is why I asked them to cancel my order. I didn't file for a charge back like you suggested but politely asked them to cancel my order on August 23rd. They ignored this message and sent me the order anyway. After I messaged them through their website and received no response I emailed them via their website and a direct email. I even called but couldn't get a hold of them. We will probably never definitively know whether my emails went through but what's very clear is they posted pictures on Facebook and Instagram on August 24th and replied to several of the questions on their social media. Seeing this I commented on one of their photos on August 24th and asked about my order and received no reply. If they have time to post pictures and respond to questions then they should've seen my comment and replied, I don't think that's a lot to ask. I received my orders on July 31st and still had no explanation on what happened. They then reached out to me under my Facebook review on August 22nd which is the reason why I posted this review. They also deleted the comment I left under their picture asking about my order and blocked me from leaving future comments. I honestly think the 1 star is very well justified after all this has happened. I received an order that I asked to be canceled because I no longer needed it which they denied. I think it's evident our definition of good customer service is different which means you'll prob never understand why I'm upset and that's okay. None of this would've happened had they reached out to me and simply just canceled it like I requested.
