I think my mom is in denial and wont see a doctor. (includes videos)

Time for mom to visit an MDS (Movement Disorder Specialist). An MDS is a Neurologist, who specializes in movement disorders. Most Neurologist might see one or two Parkinson's patients in a month, but for an MDS, it might be 30 in one month. Typically they are more focused on latest medications and treatment.

The resting tremor looks very familiar. My sense of smell is whacked, as I never thought that I had lost it. It wasn't until my wife had baked Pumpkin Bread (love that stuff) as a surprise, and I walked into the kitchen and once I saw it could I smell it! It was a little bit of a shock, as I had been sitting in the next room reading. I think most Doc's miss it is a "muted sense of smell" more than absolutely no sense of smell.

Oddly enough my tremor did start on my left side. It is on both sides now, so often you will find people with Parkinson's a little more advanced who tremor on both sides. Just a heads up for /u/changomacho

About one-third of us have constipation issues.

Four primary PD symptoms:

Tremor: Shaking of limb (usually hand) while at rest

Rigidity: Muscle stiffness and resistance to movement

Akinesia/bradykinesia: Inability to move spontaneously

Postural instability: Impaired balance and coordination

Did your Mom know you were posting the video? She's cute, but that look she gave you when she was sitting down is priceless. If anything, I should have started medication much earlier. It allowed me to start moving and take the LSVT BIG physical therapy, which helped. I've been doing Rock Steady Boxing (For Parkinson's) which has been great. One of the women in our class is a young grandmother at 50, but her grandson thinks it is great she is a Boxer!
