As a former ASL, this kind of thing happening was common at stores in my district before the pandemic. If someone was 'complaining', hours got cut. Even if the complaint wasn't meant to be taken seriously or someone else just says you've been complaining when you weren't. Hours would still be cut. I got terminated by a disgruntled co-worker who was buddy/buddy with the DM and made false complaints against me. I took them to court after they denied me unemployment, and I won the case since they had no proof. There can be some really shady people who only look out for themselves. I'd still report this issue to HR as soon as possible. Just make sure you can back up your claim if possible.
