From my experience, Armin hate increased exponentially after 137. Before that, the only complaint was that he was useless. Mikasa hate was still present before, but I would say most were indifferent to her character.

I wasn't present after ch137 came out, I only joined reddit after finishing ch138 but to say that people are indifferent to Mikasa's character that's far from true, I've never seen a character get this much hate before they're literally obsessed with the idea of Eren killing her or choosing Historia over her, the Mikasa getting "cucked" memes were so popular to the point I was so confused to find that this is a popular "Joke"
