I’m one week in and I’ve lost my first two pounds!

A question: What’s the best way to test for glucose tolerance in a non-diabetic individual? I’m trying to plan for the future for restaurant food and food with family.

For example, if I want to see how my body reacts to an increase of carbs in a meal/treat, or potentially “keto-friendly” prepackaged food, I know to test glucose before I eat, then again after 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and two hours, correct?

What value is an indicator of too many carbs? I know that due to my current weight of 109 pounds, 1g of carbs can raise my glucose by about 4 mg/dL. That can increase to 5 mg/dL once I weigh under 100 pounds.

Or is it better to compare the highest value to the fasting value and then just divide that 4 or 5? For example, an increase of 40 mg/dL divided by 4 is 10g of carbs, or 8g if divided by 5.

Sorry if this sounds ignorant or incorrect, but I’d hate to accidentally break ketosis and I’d like to avoid any potential side effects if I can. But I also like data, so knowing how my body reacts to carbs can be useful for certain situations.
