Historia didn’t have one line of dialogue in the current timeline in 40 chapters. She only appeared in flashbacks. I’m supposed to believe that her teasing Mikasa is supposed to have been foreshadowing for her relationship with Eren rather than Mikasa’s relationship with him?

Granted, when the chapter came out it hadn’t been that long since we’d seen Historia, maybe 18 chapters. So different interpretations were valid at the time. However, even after 134 where we saw the farmer at her bedside the fandom was still adamantly saying that this scene was foreshadowing the eventual “cucking”

This scene gave birth to some of the most cringe cucking memes in the fandom. So I believe we have the right to say that this scene was nothing more than a way to acknowledge Mikasa’s feelings in front of Eren and to add Historia to the list of people aware of them. I also think it’s fair to doubt that Isayama would make Historia tease Mikasa about her feelings then go on to reveal that she had a child with him. Why would Isayama set up to humiliate his FMC? Isn’t that kind of telenovela-ish?
