New Bike Advise

You're a nice lady. Kudos.

Take to your local customization shop first and foremost. They might be able to readjust the bars to bring them closer to him without having to buy a whole new bike.

That being said, I drive a Custom 900, and have tested the S ABS (not the Cafe edition, but if memory services that's simply an appearance package for special fairings).

The S ABS is a freaken dream. I love that bike, even though most consider it "a downgrade". That bike is actually awesome. Seats low. Weight carries low. Smooth transitions. I love the look of all non-candy green colours. It's comfortable to sit in. Honestly, riding my 900 Custom feels "fun", but the S ABS feels "comfortable".

If I was someone who commuted to work daily, I would get that bike for my daily driver and bring the 900 out on the weekends. If you go that route, I doubt your man would be disappointed.

I didn't get the ergo-fit done, I was just riding a chaps bike for a couple hours. He did have the "Longer" version done (I forget what it's called) as he had short arms. I'm 6"0, 195, and the extended bars pretty much kept my shoulders squared.
