I have to live it. This is their opinion, not mine... I don't think that way. Perhaps you claim society pushes that on you but that's the same justification many racists have, society has made them the way they are because of how it is these days, blah blah. No, they've made the conscious/unconscious decision and that is their perception. I don't agree with that perception the same way I don't agree with the previous statement about ageing.

Simply, I don't have the same prejudice you do. I am male, I don't look forward to ageing, getting slower, getting grey, more hair growing, likely developing a gut, potential baldness... Nobody really wants to be old... You are looking at the situation from your perspective. I see yours but I don't see it as a real problem, it's a pseudo-problem, one based entirely off of your own interpretation and projecting that onto others.

People don't have to buy the products yet they do. It's an exploited weakness for sure, (perhaps a genetic one y'know, like a predisposed biological passion for being aesthetic? :O) but you have to accept the mindset to let it happen. There is nothing wrong with body hair. I know this, you seem to know this? Yet that insecurity of others judging has defined many peoples actions. They got a razor and shaved. If the majority didn't make the passive judgement on hair then there would be no issue, by acknowledging it you essentially give it power. The acknowledgement is your perception, nothing has changed but more people buy into the perception. It's the same with wrinkles/ageing... To say that ageing men and women are perceived differently is entirely a perception/opinion belonging to the person.

Also I don't think millions of years of evolution can be shrugged off as a simple explanation for social behaviours...
