Love a covered porch with ceiling fans. I once had a senior neighbor who painted his house purple because it was his wife’s favorite color. We were very close.

It didn’t look bad, but it did make you do a double take. They both passed away and we moved.

When we got our current house painted we went with a traditional color. But the pool house that you can’t see from the street we painted purple in honor of our old neighbor.

My husband posted a picture of the pool house to Facebook and said it was in remembrance of Mr and Mrs XXX. Their son saw it and called my husband crying.

Anyway, our pool house is bright purple with pink and white furniture around the pool.

I consider our house “business in the front / party in the back”.
