That's false equivalency. You're picking groups who are defined by the fact that they cause suffering. You can't be a serial killer without murder, a milestone without sexual assault or a slave owner without slaves.

You can be a cop who doesn't hurt people or cause misery.

Police are a group because they're an occupation, the groups you mention are not.

The proper equivalent is, "It's entirely rational for a female rape survivor to have a blanket hatred of men".

It's clearly irrational. It is 100% understandable, but it is absolutely irrational.

If your argument is, "You can't be a good cop if you don't arrest the bad cops", then it's a facile, immature argument that fails to understand the basics of human nature.

Change in police forces cannot come from the bottom, with good cops "rising up" against bad ones. That's like trying to stop a river running by using buckets to scoop out the water.

Change has to be top-down; remove corrupt leaders, replace them with those willing to come down hard on corruption and bad practice in police forces.
