Next year, say no to Week 17 playoffs

Does an injury mean someone didn't draft well? Why not take that disadvantage out as well and do team RBs in case your RB got hurt? Did the guy who drafted Bell last year make a bad draft pick just because the guy got hurt?

The fact is that Week 17 is rarely a factor in the championships. In the past 2 years the only starters that missed any time in Week 17 were Brady and Luck who only played the first halves of their games.

The guy with Bell and Zeke in my league would've lost last week to a team who had the second fewest PF in the league but the fewest PA and skipped into the playoffs then rolled over low PA matchups to get to the championship. In our case, the guy who drafted better would've lost to the guy who drafted much worse if we didn't play in Week 17. Even if we played two week matchups, the guy who has Bell and Zeke would've lost by a few points because the low PF guy had his best week of the season hitting 160 points (his second best was 105).

You're complaining about one small uncertainty that is vastly outweighed by all the other uncertainties and random occurrences in fantasy football. If you wanted to take out as much of the luck factor as you could then fine, but you're only focusing on one thing. There's a lot more you could do to reduce luck like rotisserie scoring and team RBs/WRs/QBs etc. but people don't do that because it's not like the NFL.
