He didn't say he can't go back to his place he says he is not allowed. Sounds like the police were already involved and they determined OP to be the aggressor. Sounds like there may be a restraining order against OP. Maybe I am wrong but how else would it be that someone paying the lease is 'not allowed' in the place they are paying for. OP if I am wrong and if the authorities have not been involved yet you need to get them involved.

OP please explain to us why you are responsible for payments on a place you are not allowed in. That makes so little sense it invalidates everything else you are saying.
