No More ORCS

Except when A had 80%+ of its profits coming from B, and B terminates the contract. So A fires you because “at will employment” is a good thing. Now you’re job at B is in India, A no longer exists and has no legal obligation to pay you, and you won’t be likely to find any work with company B as you have no contacts there. Lastly you were a work from home/office CS rep in IT so best you can do is a minimum wage call center if you are lucky.

This same thing happened to me when Office Depot/max/staples cut thei contract with my company, followed by Comcast. After news of 99% profit soon to disappear, they cracked down to humanly impossible to perform metrics, and lowered review scores across the boardto fire based on performance the last few souls who hadn’t quit from insane scheduling, hours, and demands.

The company I worked for files bankruptcy, opens under the same name, and starts the same thing. Has done so in cycles since it’s inception.

I do understand how it should work, and how a B worker isn’t entitled to a thing from A. However the way these B companies set up with CS especially leaves you so high and dry the sense of entitlement from is just the hole left from where B bent you over and royally fucked you.
