is it Normal to get biased by Kerala people in Dubai?

I’m from Kerala and that’s just unfortunate man. I’d never speak in a language that another person didn’t know if we have a common language to communicate in. It’s alienating and disrespectful imo.

I face the same issue but with Arabic. Everyone at work speaks perfect English and all the official documents are in English but they choose to speak Arabic. Nothing wrong with that ofc except that I was part of this conversation until I wasn’t anymore.

I understand that you’re more comfortable speaking Arabic but I was part of the conversation and then it’s like I’m invisible. It’s especially frustrating when they’re discussing something technical.

They’re great besides that don’t get me wrong. Some of the nicest people I know and some are very accommodating. It’s just a shame because I never feel 100% involved in anything because halfway through the conversation, the language changes and I just walk away.
