You can be saving so much more. I understand you are in your 40s but your COL is way too high.

For example... You are overpaying WAY too much for a studio. 56k is bonkers to me. I pay 22k for my studio and I whine.

I never order food period. Always shop and cook at home. Only on Sunday, I go out with my wife to a cheap spot to eat something.

No alcohol consumption for me at all.

I bought a car 7 years ago for AED10k ... Only used for grocery shopping and other small errands. I mostly WFH so cost of gas is roughly 40-50dhs per week. Only repairs I have done to the car was replace the radiator and brake pads, oil change. Annual renewals/insurance obviously.

You can greatly reduce your COL since you are single. Do it aggressively for a few years and throw all your savings into an ETF. You still have enough time to save enough comfortably for your retirement.
