the whole point of my comment is that someone said that conservatives apparently like stranger things despite the fact that it has liberal political messages (like the boys). however when i watched the show i didn't notice anything similar. i haven't seen anybody criticising stranger things for "wokeness".

actually as i was typing that sentence i just remembered that there was an openly lesbian character that i (liberal, doesn't get mad about "wokeness" on the internet) thought was kind of heavy-handed so maybe that's why they wouldn't like it
