Why has Nottingham's wait for second appointment gone up so much?

From what I've heard, it's not possible to be under a GIC while having private care. Being on a repeat script is fine but from the sounds of it, I wouldn't be able to get any private assessments in that time between first and second appointment unless I wanted to sacrifice being chucked right to the back of the waiting lists for NHS again. I'm pretty sure a big reason GPs don't bridge T is because you have to be self medding to get a bridge and getting hold of T is relatively hard due to it being a controlled substance. I'll have a conversation with my GP but at the end of the day, DIY and/or bridging is my only shot at being able to get on HRT before uni without sacrificing my place at the top of the GIC waiting list. I'm fairly confident my GP will at least do bloods and I'm happy with managing numbers and supply myself.
