Odd thoughts on "The Afterlife" in MEAD's JiD Series

So, this was something that I only hit upon last night when I was making some edits on a story chapter. I was browsing through my comic collection, and something about Judy in the afterlife, just struck me as wrong.

Here's the image

Se we know from the concept art that the field has some resonance with Nick, which helps to explain its presence in his vision/hallucination/drug induced fantasy, but it's Judy who seems off in it.

My thought was why, if this is supposed to be Paradise/Heaven/Valhalla (...OK not that one, but by the sound of things, she would have been welcomed there), why is her paradise farming carrots?

This was something that she rebelled against for all her life (that we know about). It just seems incongruous that this is what would make her happy.

I realize that artistic license is in play, but am I alone in finding the portrayal of her afterlife as something she so vehemently rejected in life? Perhaps this is Nick's interpretation of Heaven, and always thought of Judy as a carrot farmer, but that doesn't fit either.

Anyways, I thought it might be an interesting concept to explore.
