[Official] Bellator 170: Ortiz vs. Sonnen - Day After Discussion

I tend to agree, but I seriously need an explanation on this

Yeah, I watched this and I just don't see it. Tito's hand moved up towards Chael's, looked like he did a tiny tap but that happens constantly in fights when someone has their head tied up and is trying to orientate themselves. most of us do not do MMA and even more of us have never been in an MMA fight so we really are talking from a place of non-experience and a lot of assumption. Tito could have thought John McCarthy was there and might have thought John thought he was getting choked and was about to wave John away to let him know he was okay and perhaps at just the moment he went to do the wave he realised John was in fact not there. That is just one idea I literally just came up with. But really his hand did not tap at all, it kind of moved in a weird way. to me it means nothing, it is just something that happens in fights.

That guy in the video, sitting on his couch, declaring with absolute certainty that the fight was fixed is the real fool in this situation. he is convinced beyond a doubt on the basis of this tiny movement of Tito's hand. it's just ridiculous and his certainty just makes him sound foolish, in my opinion.

I thought about this for the morning and I had no way to tell for sure from the fight so I turned to other avenues to try to see if I could think of something. my original post is what I came up with. people can dislike Chael all they want, he certainly has a coloured history but I have watched him over the years in many interviews, podcasts and other media and he always spoken about his father with such high regard.. he has mentioned the promise he made to him many many many times before. this is nothing new. and yes he might be a shitty person to other people but I'm sorry I just ain't buying it that he was lying about his Dad and the promise that he made to him.
