Idk if anyone feels similar to me, but how do y’all feel about the interjection of BLM into Textbook...

I’m ngl it slightly rubbed me the wrong way. The song is a bop, but that lyric just feels slightly forced. No relevancy to the song, and it’s like using the movement as a little soundbite in her song.

“And there we were, screamin’’Black Lives Matter’ in a crowd By the Old Man River, and I saw you saw who I am”

Like girl idk if the purpose of that BLM protest was for you to reveal yourself to your boy toy in the midst of all your daddy issues... I expect a little backlash on this based off the inevitable bias that exists in this subreddit, but I’d be really interested in hearing your guys’ opinions!
