Most American doctors will eventually follow the real science for fear of potential malpractice suits, and because the overwhelmingly vast majority are decent people who don't want to permanently harm children. Since we do not have socialized medicine, our doctors are free to refuse to treat patients with dubious health conditions. Only a tiny number of U.S. pediatricians actually provide Trans treatment now.

Kind of like abortion. Doctors favor legal abortion by over 90 percent. Only a handful in each State actually perform abortions. Despite that abortion doctors rarely even need to be concerned with medical malpractice. With Trans treatment of minors, every single patient is a potential ticking malpractice time bomb. Frankly, the adult patients aren't all that mentally stable either. Sooner than you think, many more of them will start legally and politically attacking their doctors. This patient population will not desist quietly and blame no one but themselves. (Nor should they.)

I estimate the pendulum will have swung to the other direction within two years. A steadily growing number of these former children are beginning to desist as adults, so we are just starting to hear the other side, and that side includes some pretty permanent body alterations. It's not easy to return to being a girl at age 22, after top surgery, and with male pattern baldness and a beard. This patient population personality is exquisitely obsessed with their appearance. That will not change. They will be motivated and they will find lawyers to take their cases.
