All of information swirling around about usage and potential for this two dudes, I dug deep for info on both that may or may not be pertinent. Let’s do this, double hype train perhaps?

The don was signed by the packers as a FA in May 2016 and has been on the practice squad since but was promoted to active roster today.

Ty was drafted by the packers in the 3rd round of the 2015 draft, he started 3 games in 2015 but played in 6. He logged 15 recs for 136 yard and 2 TDs and had 3 rushing attempts for 14 yards. He messed up his ankle week 6 and was put on injured reserve.

The don has never played in an NFL game.

Ty hasn’t logged a catch this season until this season where he blew up for 10 rec on 12 targets for 98 yards with the long rec being 15 yards so it seems he is the dump off kid. He also had 3 rushing attempts for 6 yards with 2 fumbles. The passes were all either short left, short middle or short right. SL for 13 yards, SM for 23 yards and SR for 62 yards. He also logged 3 redzone passes on the day, 1 SL, 1 SM, 1 SR.

Opinion(very pure speculation): I think the packers offense is a mess right now, TY seems like a bright spot for them. The packers currently rank near the bottom in average pass average yardage at 6.5. Also near the bottom in total passing yards at 1133. Minnesota has 1160. They also rank near the bottom in pass completion percentage at 60.2. Jacksonville is 61.1. Something has to change. TY is someone they see as productive(small sample size) but I bet they use him more moving forward. TY has as many rushing attempts as Robb(5 attempts) on the season. I could see TY being the pass catching back/utility WR/RB with the don/knile being the true RB. There are a lot of unknowns with the don so it’s really hard to speculate. The don has shown his ability in college rushing for more than 1000 yards in a season and has had time to learn the play book since picked up in the spring. I see TY as the better play here tonight because of his utility as WR/RB and him maybe being slightly more athletic?. The don is worth holding or playing if your thin at RB or looking for a one week fill in.

Id love to hear your guys thoughts on this situation.
