Offtopic TV/Movie discussion 5/27/16

The airport was evacuated and the collapsed air control tower was between the hanger and any possible line of sight anyway. There's no way for Zemo to know what happened at the airport.

He knew that the Avengers fought...and if any Avengers were killed it would be big news. Public destruction by...you know superheroes that are already big on the news because of the accords is going to be public knowledge.

"Out of line of sight"...? Is this a real reason you're actually trying to use to justify how no one would know about the airport fight? I'm getting a little concerned, here.

Further, releasing information doesn't guarantee Iron Man showing up in Russia, all it does is show Tony was wrong. Tony could've just as easily have sent a message to Cap and filled Cap in on what's happened or decide that Rhoadey needed him more, or sent another suit in his place.

Why would Rhodey take priority over killer super soldiers? If Tony believes Captain America he would obviously accompany him. This isn't even some complex manipulation from a mastermind, it's just a little bit of common sense. Heroes gravitate towards bigger threats. Zemo presented one and made it public so Tony see's it, why wouldn't Tony arrive?

And, oh by the way, he's got to set this all up while he's traveling to remote Siberia to set up his last minute redundancy by himself.

It isn't difficult to set this up at all. We know he's been planning long since before the events of the film. His plan isn't even super specific. He really just needs to Avengers to fight among themselves and hopefully they do irreversible damage. Whether it's at the airport, train station, public new york city, whether it's from revealing to Tony what Bucky did. It doesn't matter what plan or contingency plan he needed to use, the end goal is all the same.

It's in retrospect not even that hard considering the accords also put strain in the organization, and Baron accelerated his plan after the initial fuck up that went public which prompted the accords in the first place.

Be real, are you really trying to say that all of that had not even the tiniest bit of "this has to happen this way because we're setting up a couple of movies that need to be out in a few years."? None of that feels the slightest bit plot over character to you?

There are of course always going to be plot contrivances, this could literally be said of any films ranging from The Godfather to High School Musical. The point is if it can be organic than it's fine. In this case it is organic because they've set it up throughout the film. I don't feel the need to go into the gritty details because the other user already dismantled your arguments. And you haven't offered any good retorts or you just omit information in order to present your argument. You have been forgetting basic plot points for the convenience of your arguments. That much is pretty clear. I suggest you just cut your hate boner off and just re-watch the film objectively so you don't forget things.

As for the quips, I was very careful to show that I was talking about the airport fight. If you choose to take my comments on that fight and apply them to the final fight, that's your choice. It is, however, a blatant lie on your part. And if your position was so strong, would you really need to resort to lies?

It's just ironic you point out quips as it's some type of detriment, yet it happens X-Men as well. So it's a criticism that holds no ground because it's in both films.

And also, why would quips in the airport fight be more important than a lack of one in the final fight? The film didn't have quips in the final fight because it was heavier. Airport fight was largely friends vs friends while Tony was essentially bloodlusted vs Bucky. Your criticism just isn't that strong here and it's desperate.

Honestly judging from your other comments you're just too big of a fan boy to argue objectively with. I'm going to end this here.
