"Oh, you're a programmer? I have a problem with my printer...". What's the equivalent of this in your job?

As a chemical engineering major almost done with school, on top of taking all of the premed coursework: both biochems, physical chem and both organic chems, premed courses are definitely easier than any of my upper level classes in engineering.

I’ve never spent 14 hours on a single problem in any biology or chemistry courses, yet I do that every week in my advanced processing courses. And that’s the standard amount of time expected for solving these problems.

I’m sorry but computer science is not very close to the fundamental engineering coursework, I don’t think you understand how difficult some of these junior/senior level courses can be.
