Old Valyria, New Shores

The man, if you could call one who shone with such unsatisfying dimness a man, starred at him in disbelief. "What do you mean you only go where the Lord of Light commands?" He asked increduosly.

Danton flashed a smile and though his teeth were brilliant the ruby's gleam still outshone them. Though it was no sight bright today as it had been a week prior. "It is lucky then, that the Lord of Light has sent you to me, an arbiter of his all-encompassing light." Danton pressed his thumbs to the lids of the man's blinking eyes, darting forward with some speed in the doing. As he released them the man saw spots of fire in his vision, though they were not there.

"Behold!" He exclaimed as he released his grip. "R'hllor makes himself known to you." Before any reaction could occur, the man still dazed by the 'attack' only managing to retreat in the time that it took for Danton to make his exit. Though the Priest took deliberate pre-ordained but almost slow steps they seemed to carry him out of the room so fast he might have ran.

The quarters that the ruby cheeked man erupted from were not overly lavish, but they were the second largest on the ship. In a normal ship he would have been given, or failing that obtained, the captain's quarters, but this was no normal ship. It along with its captain were fated, preordained, just like those steps he had taken before - though that was more a subtle trick. The Lord of Light had truly shown himself then. The magic of Rhoryn's journey was undeniable, though as of yet ill understood by the humble priest.

*Perhaps it is not for me to know?" He mused, steps much slower now that he made his way through the bowels of the ship unobserved. As he teetered and tottered through the ship, his appearance otherwise that of someone in their prime, he thought of the man who had 'glimpsed' the lord.

It probably will do little to enlighten him. Danton thought, though he did not expect the man to accept it: even reflected light is in service of R'hllor. The mans mind was clouded, shadowy, but that seemed to serve in reflecting Rhory's light - but perhaps he could shine alone. Danton hungered for the day when he could bask in that light, another who accepted the truth of the One True God.

Finally he had arrived. Stairs. Damnable stairs, and in sight of the captain no less. He remembered, or didn't, did he? a time when he would grit his teeth at the pain. The glamour erased much, and required no end of dicipline - Danton did not grimace.

"The Lord of Light has bid me come," Danton said impressively. "You have need of me." It was not a question.
