Do you older players (35+) still "perform" ? (thread for oldies!)

I agree with this guy completely. My wife and I (Both in our mid 30's, careers, kids, weekend dinner parties, etc...) were stuck in the high 30's in preseason for the longest time and kept complaining about how crappy our teammates were. Picking terrible engages, crappy team comps, chasing/overextending, falling back and taking camps when we could take a tower or two, etc...

We eventually came to the realization that our team isn't going to win a 3v5 and we certainly aren't going to win the follow up 2v5 just because we were 'smart' enough to not pick a dumb fight.

So we decided to just pick the more Leroy Jenkins player on our team and follow them all game. Our win rate skyrocketed. Sure we died a lot more personally, but it was in fights we would have lost anyways and there were significantly more "How the heck did we win that?" moments.

We're not exactly master league material. I only play 3~4 games a week (I prefer SC2) and she plays about 20ish. But we're far above and beyond where we started out.

So yeah. Playing better means sometimes playing dumb. HOTS is a team game and if the rest of your team is being dumb, then be dumb with them. You stand a greater chance of winning because the other team is probably full of mouthbreathing virgins who still live in their parents basement and will never achieve anything greater then almost winning employee of the month at Taco Bell once.

At least that's what I bitterly tell myself when we get curb stomped 20 seconds later.
