Literally WTF. Most women know this is BS, right? Like based on your own body type and your years of shopping at the mall or online, we all know this is crazy, yes? Like... I am a 10-12 long in jeans and a 12-14 in dresses, with some outliers (i.e. I have a few dresses that are medium/10 and some that are XL/16) just depending on the cut or how I want things to fit me. A little size variance is normal across brands and fabric types and whatnot. I know when I shop in Juniors, I have to size up, and when I shop in women’s I size down. Generally speaking, however, when I walk into Express, for example, I know I’m a 12 in jeans and dress pants and an M-L in tops. But Vince Camuto size 10 jeans and pants and most of their M sizes tops fit me best. That’s just how those brands run and I know to start with those sizes first when I start to try things on. Again, variations exist and are to be somewhat expected. But this is all the same damn brand and the same shit-tacular fabric! How can you be a medium AND a 3X between the same garment?!?! How can you never know how anything is going to fit within the same brand and be okay with it?!?! I would NEVER keep shopping a brand or at a store where that was that much inconsistency, especially online when you can’t try this stuff on first!
