All religions and spiritual or supernaturals ideas fall under the same umbrella to me and many other people. I believe they’re all just made up. Motives for doing so would include gaining money by taking advantage of people(I.e. redditors accepting “donations” for psychic readings..how anyone would think someone could give you a psychic reading over the internet is beyond cuckoo) and just claiming things to feel special. My problem is the extreme lack of proof. I know it doesn’t mean much to those of you who believe any of this stuff, but it means a whole hell of a lot to a skeptic. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Deep down, at least for those of you who don’t just have an unknown mental health issue, i know those of you making these claims know you’re lying or you’re just misremembering events, which is entirely possible. I wish it could be proven that spirits aren’t real, but it really can’t. And not being able to prove something wrong is not grounds to just blindly believe it.
