Hello, its definitely possible. However, they live in different realm and just like us they are capable of doing both good and bad. That includes lying, scamming and giving away false information.

I used to communicate with them, in fact I had a few as my friends and we talked almost daily as a kid. I can't exactly tell their age but their maturity was like mine so it was easier to hangout at that time.

But personally, I wouldn't recommend because its a foreign realm and can suck alot of our social attention away from physical spirits (human, animals, plants and other physical beings), which play big part of our life too.
